    Outback R/C is now open for good old dirt R/C racing in Cortland, N.Y.  The track is located on North Homer Ave in Cortland  behind Cortland Floor Craft. Visit them on Facebook Outback Raceway. You can also contact them @ outbackraceway@gmail.com. 


    Outback is home of two wonderful dirt tracks producing great side by side racing. First is the always fast dirt oval for both Nitro and Electric R/C vehicles. The other track is a Short Course  Track built for the fast growing Short Course Trucks. This track will host Two wheel drive class as well as the fun loving Four wheel drive truck class. These machines are a 1/10 scale version of the trucks seen on TV in the Lucas off road series as well as the TORC Off road racing series seen on VS and Speed.


    Each of these trucks can be purchased for around $200. The trucks come with every thing you need to go racing except for a battery and charger. The rules for these classes make it affordable for any one to be competitive and have a chance to take home the trophy every time they take to the track. 


    Outback is equipped with a scoring system that count the laps as well as the lap times of each truck making it a real competitive sport for a nice entry level price. Any one can enter these races no matter their driving skills. R/C Racing is a great way to meet people and take care of the racing itch. This is a great family sport that the whole family can do together from Mom and Dad to the young brother or sister. Outback's friendly staff will help the new comer feel at home and give them some pointers on truck setup as well as driving tips to get around the track.  


    Come check out the racing this Sunday at 1:00 and maybe even make a few laps on the off road track. Track opens at 11:00 for practice.
